My research explores the Renaissance afterlife of ancient literature, especially Greek poetry and drama. I am particularly interested in what early modern readers were interested by when they read ancient literature and how they imitated it in their own writings and on the stage; this means I am often found in libraries looking at scribblings in books. You can read more about my work and publications on my Faculty webpage.
At Sidney Sussex, I teach various aspects of Renaissance literature and Shakespeare for both parts of the undergraduate English Tripos, and Tragedy for Part II.
