Dr Adrian Weller

Adrian's interests span AI, its commercial applications and helping to ensure beneficial outcomes for society. He is a Director of Research in Machine Learning in the Department of Engineering, and at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence where he is Programme Director for Trust and Society. Adrian is Programme Director for AI at The Alan Turing Institute, the UK national institute for data science and AI, and is a Turing Fellow leading work on safe and ethical AI. He serves on several boards including the advisory board for the Government's Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation. Previously, he held senior roles in finance. Adrian received an MBE for services to digital innovation.
