Leaving a legacy gift

Sidney Sussex was founded on the benefaction of left by Lady Francis Sidney of Sussex in her will. Today, legacies remain vital to the College, and continue to have a significant impact on what we can achieve.

Sidney is very grateful for the support it receives and is committed to managing all donations responsibly, and so far as is possible, in accordance with any purposes or preferences of the donor. All communications made to potential and current donors concerning use of donations will be honest and comply with current relevant laws. Donors’ rights to privacy and preferences for anonymity will be respected within the limits of current relevant laws. The College undertakes to handle any concerns raised in relation to the acceptance and use of donations promptly and, so far is possible, transparently.
