Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University is seeking to appoint a Senior Network and Communications Engineer to join the busy IT team. The role holder will assist the IT Manager in the administration and support of the colleges IT infrastructure, with a focus on networking, audio visual (AV) and telecommunications. They are responsible for the day-to-day operation and availability of the college network, AV and phone systems. They will report to the IT Manager and deputise in their absence to assist with systems administration of the server infrastructure and management of the team.
This is a full time, permanent post, involving 37.5 hours per week with some flexibility necessary. The salary is based on points 40 - 48 of the University’s single salary spine, currently equating to £32,344- £40,927 per annum. Incremental salary progression up the range is discretionary.

This post would suit a good team player with excellent communication skills. Experience of University or College IT support would also be welcomed. Excellent working knowledge of networking protocols and systems are vital to this role.
