Sidney Sussex College is seeking to recruit a permanent, part-time MUSIC ADMINISTRATOR. This role is to provide administrative support for the College’s musical activities, working with the choir, the Music Society, and supporting the Director of Music and College Chaplain in the musical responsibilities of their College roles.
This is a part-time, term-time only post, with flexible hours to cover services, concerts, tours and other musical activities of the choir. Hours are worked flexibly dependent upon busy periods and the potential work pattern may be as follows: In term (26 weeks): Wed to Fri 9.00 – 5.00, Pre and Post term: 6 weeks with 25 hours per week, During College vacation: 6 hours per day for 25 days touring and concerts.

This post would suit someone with excellent inter-personal and organisational skills who has experience of singing in a choir and who has a strong record of musical accomplishment. Duties include managing the music library and preparing music and schedules for chapel services, as well as making arrangements for concerts, tours and other musical events so would suit anyone undertaking or considering a career in music administration. The successful candidate will have proven experience of working collaboratively as well as independently.
