Sidney Sussex College, is seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant.  Reporting to the Hall Manager, this post offers an exciting opportunity to work within a professional catering operation.  A major multimillion pound refurbishment of the College Kitchens, Old Dining Hall and the Mong Hall was completed in July of this year.  This is therefore an exciting time to be part of a new kitchen set up and be at the forefront of further raising the overall standards of the food and service to the highest level.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for delivering a high standard of customer care.  Applicants should have a friendly flexible working attitude, good communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills.

This is a permanent, full-time post averaging 40 hours per week which will normally be worked across a 2 week shift system comprising mainly of working straight shifts and alternate weekend working.  There is a need for flexibility to meet unpredictable operational demands in the College.  The salary is £20,592 per annum at £9.90 per hour.
