Helena Fox (2017, Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic) shared her experience of graduating as part of the University’s Careers Service #Finalist blog series, and how trusting in your abilities and taking chances pays off.

The University’s Careers Service launched the Finalist Focus initiative towards the end of June where a series of events and appointments were organised to support graduating students.

Helena Fox took part in the #Finalist blog series where she discusses her journey from leaving university in sudden and surreal circumstances as a consequence of the pandemic situation, to taking the time to absorb her position, and constructing a working week that fulfils her creative needs. Helena’s situation, adaptability and artistic flair has enabled her to build a work life that combines her passion for the arts alongside her interest in gender, sexuality and mental health.

Read Helena’s blog post, ‘Riding the waves: Helena Fox on how pursuing arts doesn’t have to feel like treading water’.

Helena's latest adventure will see her performing in her new one-woman play, Tectonic Plates, at The Chelsea Theatre on Wednesday 25 August as part of the Kensington and Chelsea Festival.
